The relationship between a client and a psychotherapist is legally protected, ensuring that your personal information remains secure. Your information will not be disclosed without your written consent, except in circumstances required by law, including:

1. Mandatory Reporting of Abuse – If there is reasonable suspicion of child abuse, dependent adult abuse, or elder abuse, we are legally required to report it to the appropriate authorities immediately.

2. Threats of Harm to Others – If a client communicates a serious threat of physical harm to another person or persons, we are obligated to notify law enforcement and inform the intended victim(s).

3. Risk of Self-Harm – If a client expresses an intent to harm themselves, we will make every effort to ensure their safety by seeking their cooperation. If they do not cooperate, we may take necessary actions as permitted by law to protect them, even without their consent.
